Slightly crazy writer and passionate educator for those who struggle
I need a new attitude
To the work I do
It’s tiring and intense
It drains you to the core
Exhaustion seeps through every pore.
On a great day I love it
The victories make me roar
These big moments
So few and far between
I need to find the joy in simpler things
Attitude adjusted
Your words ring true for me. After 30+ years of teaching, I just couldn’t come to terms with all the (negative) changes (in administration and curriculum content and delivery, as well as students’ attitudes, etc.), so I took an early retirement. My husband followed suit 6 years later. It breaks my heart that teaching has become such a challenge; it used to be the most wonderful career! I hope you can find your way through these trying times.
