I sit at my desk
My small little workspace
Cluttered yet organised
And I ponder my life.
In a few days I leave
A chapter – not closing – just on hold.
I plan to travel
To see another part of the world
And what an adventure
It will be.
In the middle – or at the tail end I hope
Of the pandemic known as Covid-19.
Some say I am mad
I do not disagree
But this is the opportunity I’ve got.
And as I drown at my work
In the endless tasks to complete
More are added.
The job never ends.
Thus I am drained
I need that break
I need something new to explore
Somewhere to go
Crazy I might be – in the middle of Covid-19.
