The things students say and a teacher’s response

Okay so technically this is not a story, but it’s the end of the school year in Australia and I’m end of year tired.  Thus things students say and how I would like to respond.

Things students say and how this teacher responds

The Faceless School

In every school there are always people who get forgotten by students, parents and sometimes even other staff.  These are all the staff that do not have consistent contact with students, yet without them the school would not run.  Enjoy your poem people.

The Faceless School

My name is Keegan …7

Keegan, his life allegedly a lie,  has been running for a long time and it’s all starting to catch up with him.  Does he go with Paw man and his boss or does he keep running, refusing to admit that their story might have some truth to it.

My name is Keegan 7

Who Morns

The conflict when a major national/international disaster strikes at the same time as a loved one is dying.  My sister was terminally ill when MH17 got shot down over the Ukraine.  It was a very difficult time, because I wanted to be wrapped up in my own world, but the wider world had other reasons that were equally devasting to many more people and families.

My name is Keegan – Prologue

As always, feel free to provide the next sentence starter in the comments secion.

My grandmother was an amazing woman who died many years ago.  She was my first experience as an adult (and new mother) of dementia and visiting someone in a nursing home.  She did not have a clue who I was.  On a good day she would call me my father’s name (I favour his side of the family) but she alway, always wanted to hold her great grand son.  I am not sure who she thought he was, because my father only had daughters.  This is a poem I wrote after the nursing home staff cut her amazing long hair and changed my grandmother into someone else.  (She had never had short hair)
