Slightly crazy writer and passionate educator for those who struggle
Christmas is a happy time
But there are always a few
The ones who’ve lost
The ones who face
Their first Christmas
Without you.
You were lost
Sometime in the last year
Of illness
Accident
Or other
But it doesn’t matter
How you went
It’s Christmas
And you are not here.
The tradition changes
As traditions have to
Your place no longer taken
The things you did
Each Christmas time
Another now must fill
And in a year or more for some
Those roles will be absorbed
But it is not you
That we have forgotten
Just you we do them for.
